The Keester is ONE!!!!!

Whew... well I am finally back in the San Antonio office today after being gone in North Carolina for 3 weeks! It was an extremely rough start to the day and I feel completely disorganized. Having no direct supervisor in the office has it's good points but it also has its bad ones considering no one here felt urgency to get me and my co-worker back up and running! Either way, it worked out and tomorrow is another day!

Kirstynn is officially ONE years old!!!I cannot believe it! Time flies. I have been posting this thing since I found out I was preggo and now she is almost a toddler. Since I was out of town *and yes I cried over and over that day* my hubby took the girls to my mom's and they had a little party for her and she LOVED getting sung to. I will post some fun pictures of her digging into her cupcake. She is also taking a few steps at a time and saying "bye bye"... She is growing up so fast and it really almost hurts.

Both girls are stuck to me like white on rice and it makes the guilt even thicker. I miss them and I know it is probably even harder for the girls. Or heck, maybe that is just me and it's not so bad. All I know is Addison keeps asking if I am leaving back on the airplane. I am telling her no so she can relax even though I do have to leave again Sunday.

2 more weeks... I can do it....

17 more days and counting....

Training is trekking along and things are doing well. We have been in tons of conference calls today so staying engaged has been harder than the last classes. I think we are all just getting a little more tired and full of information as the days go on. Today is our last day of personal lines training and tomorrow we move to commercial lines... this is my speciality and maybe I can finally relax a little.

There have been a number of incidents since I came to North Carolina. First and most embarrassing is that I put a bag of popcorn in my hotel room microwave, set it to 4 minutes and thought I would listen for it, then got on the phone with my sister. A few minutes into the conversation, i hear a "beep beep". Well it kept going and going and I realized it was the fire alarm. I looked out of my bedroom and the den area is covered with smoke. It was awful... stunk all through the hallway etc. I ended up having to switch rooms and my clothes all reeked of burnt popcorn until I got some febreeze.

Then yesterday we went to a Hibachi grill and I ended up leaving my credit card at the restaurant. Luckily my boss made reservations and they had his number and called to tell him I left it on the table.... Ugh!

There is more but not enough time and I don't know if my "non embarrassed" level goes that high. lol.

It is still terribly hard being away from home and hard on my marriage when I don't have time to call and check in and chat as much as I like. I will be glad again when I get home and can get back into the groove. 17 more days and counting....

Charlotte

Things in Charlotte are good. My trainers and classmates are really awesome. I made a 100 on my first test and time is flying.
That being said, it has been a true test to be this far away from my family. I miss Thomas and the kids so much it hurts. When Addison saw me Friday night, she bursts into tears and just cried "MOMMY" - it killed me. I cried too. Kirstynn was even pretty quiet last night my family said after I left... I will be very hard when I can get back home and cuddle my girls and my husband...
This morning I have a little runny nose and bought the Zicam to try and fight it. Any other ideas on how to fight the onset of a cold???

I have been working out every morning though and eating well so I hope I can drop at least 5 pounds during this time period before getting back to the San Antonio office....

I will take lots of pictures and update more later.
